Your Resale Options

First of all what is your goal? Is it to make the most money for your gently used articles or just get rid of them? Maybe doing both!

When you are looking at the resale market there are several options available to you. Remember each is a not an inclusive answer to your resale solution. Each option has their place and depending on the type of articles you are selling one can be more beneficial over the others. However, seldom does one thinks in-depth about marketing, location, expenses, time, effort and most important the buyer’s expectations. You have heard about someone had their expensive articles at a neighbor’s garage sale and really surprised when it didn’t sell because the price is perceived way too high.

What can be a challenge is understanding your selling area. Importantly do you think there are people in your area willing to buy your articles at the price you want? Is your area within a large city or a small rural community?

What time of the year are you intending to sell? It is challenging to sell Christmas articles in the middle of the summer. Personally, I look for patio set or a grill. On the other hand having a garage or yard sale during cold weather might not get attention you wanted.

Condition of your articles will always be a factor on pricing. Please CLICK HERE to expand that discussion.

To help you make a inform decision we are offering some PROS and CONS for each option. You might be familiar with some of these and, again, there might be a few that you never thought about. Please click on any of the following; they are in no particular order other than alphabetical.

Acquaintances, Auction, Community Bulletin Boards, Consignment Store, Donation to a Charity, Ecommerce (Internet On-line) Sales, Estate Sales, Garage or Yard Sales, Signs, Thrift Store, Want Ads
